The graduate programme is a two year rotational programme offering ‘on the job’ training experience for new and recent graduates in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

PA / Senior Administrator - Group Audit Management (GAM) Job

Role Purpose
Running the office on a day to day basis and providing PA support to the Regional Head and a small team of locally based Audit managers
Manage administration aspect of audits and maintain an effective filing and retrieval of departmental records.
Provide planned and co-ordinated secretarial support to Head of GAM.
Manage timelines for Head of GAM.
Acts as back up for Audit Database Administration (AIS & AID).
Handle all general office administration including stationery inventory.
International Bank’s Audit department.
Liaise with the Audit teams based in other regions.
Extensive diary management
Arranging domestic and international travel and accommodation Managing and reconciling expenses
Arranging meetings and conference calls
Liaising with internal clients and external partners
Full gate keeping responsibility

Role Dimensions
GAM is the regional control centre for the Group Audit function in the Middle East, covering 14 countries, and is based in Dubai. The unit is responsible for audits covering the governance and operational risk management framework in the MENA region, any specific audits requested by the relevant Audit & Risk Committees and regulatory reviews where other in country units are not deemed sufficiently independent. The unit works in coordination with the specialised Global Audit Teams. GAM also has global audit responsibility for Amanah. In addition, the audit unit of SABB is responsible for all audit activity in SABB subject to SABB’s own audit committee and management reporting lines. HOR INA operates independently. However, as required, they will request the support of GAM or GMO INA where specific expertise is required, and vice versa.

Direct Sales Team Manager (Bahrain) Job

The purpose of the role is to direct, lead and motivate a team of sales staff in the acquisition of quality business to meet strategic / operating plan objectives and to maximize profitability.

Principal Accountabilities

Lead and motivate a sales team to achieve and exceed product targets.
Coach staff & identify training needs
Increase acquisition of business from AEL companies
Ensure professional standards are maintained
Create a sales culture
Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations

Major Challenges

With increase in targets and with 5 core products, the challenge initially will be to ensure that the sales gain momentum as the team goes through this concentrated period of change. This year our major challenge will be to guide and monitor the Direct Sales Team closely, to coach and develop the team to improve performance, to ensure that sales targets are being met and to manage the team through challenging market conditions.

Role Context

The job holder is expected to monitor business development activity and review company performance (under all categories) complied by all the concerned stakeholders; at the same time ensuring that quality companies are acquired to the Approved Employers List
The job holder will need to keep abreast of the changing market conditions in the region and be able to identify opportunities where sales can be maximized in a competitive environment
The job holder needs to maintain high levels of synergy with all internal channels i.e. Retail Banking and Corporate Banking, develop referral processes and build relationships to create opportunities for developing HSBC business within that network
