Training Programmes
HSBC Bank Middle East Limited has training programmes which aim to increase the number of UAE Nationals in the Bank in the UAE. In 2004 we established HSBC University which delivers a number of banking programmes. These are:
Secondary School and Diploma Graduate Programme (Khatwatuk Al Ula -Your First Steps)
Designed for secondary school and diploma graduates, this six month programme comprises of classroom training to learn the basics of banking, followed by on the job learning and coaching support. If you successfully complete the training you will be offered a permanent role in an area that best suits your particular skills and abilities. The area may well have been identified at the early stages of your time with the organisation. Successful trainees will graduate after six months at a ceremony in the presence of their line manager, mentor together with senior managers of the Bank.
Graduate Training Programme (Executive Training Programme)
The goal of this 12-month training programme is to produce future executives of the Bank. Selection for this programme will be from graduates and post-graduates (MBAs) with excellent English skills, above average scores in the ability tests, a positive attitude and a high level of interpersonal skills.
The programme consists of structured familiarisation, specific training relating to a target job. This is delivered through a mixture of classroom, e-learning, on the job training and coaching. Some individuals will be selected to attend the Group Graduate Development Programme which is a 7 week course based in the UK. Graduates from across the HSBC network of 79 countries come together at this training to develop each person's technical knowledge and management potential. This is a truly unique opportunity.
Summer Internship Programme
We offer summer placements for students of all disciplines who are currently going through their studies. Placements are generally for 2 months between June and August. As a summer intern, you will receive a stipend as well as learning about banking and developing your business awareness. You may even be eligible for the Best Intern Award.
Key-time/Part-time working Jobs
If you are currently studying and are interested in undertaking part-time work when you are not studying, we can offer you a position in an area of the bank that will suit the hours that you want to work. This is a good way to learn about banking while earning some extra money during your studies.
Possibilities are endless with HSBC and we encourage you to apply to join us at the World's Local Bank.
