Senior Manager - HR Generalist
ROLE PURPOSE
The HSBC UAE/GCC HR department is currently looking to recruit two new Senior HR Generalists to the team. The roles will improve and proactively broker HR services in order to drive business growth. The job-holders will ensure that the business receives the services it needs whilst implementing the Global and Regional HR Agendas. Both roles will report directly to the UAE/GCC Head of HR.
This is a key role as the job-holder will be responsible for implementing ‘Best Place to Work’, ‘Employer of Best Talent’, and ‘Pay for Performance’ practices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Formulate and implement HR strategies in response to business priorities
• Strategic input into the GCC HR function
• Build effective HR networks/relationships throughout group and the region
• Implement the People Agenda through brokering of Specialist Services that; drive growth, enhance the ‘attractive employer’ proposition, meet Best place to work intentions
• Drive continuous improvement in people management across Talent and Resourcing, Performance, Rewards and Incentives, Engagement and Diversity, and Learning and Development.
MAJOR CHALLENGES
The role will be responsible for persuading management at all levels to implement policies and strategies, as it requires complex analytical reasoning, judgment, vision, influence and personal credibility. The role-holder will achieve an effective mix between tailored solutions for each business and ensure consistency, and deliver best practice in the context of HSBC values and the ‘best employer agenda’.
Skills
EXPERIENCE
• Significant generalist HR experience and a track record of partnering with businesses to achieve their strategic objectives
• Experience of implementing transformation and change programmes
• In depth knowledge of at least one HR specialism in addition to generalist experience.
