Personal Banking Officer

• To develop and manage the individual portfolio of ADVANCE customers. This includes proactive cross selling of profitable banking products and the provision of higher value investment products to existing and new clients on the portfolio
• In simple terms, to earn 100% of every credit worthy client's business
• Generate sales and provide services by visiting customers' offices / premises and maintain customer contact once every quarter for ADVANCE customers
• Provide a single point of contact for ADVANCE customers on their portfolio
• Maximise product sales to agreed targets by probing customer needs and actively cross selling PFS products
• Identify and follow up sales opportunities based on potential customer lists
• Ensure through personal example, that HSBC provides a high quality service for its customers
•Provide advise and guidance to colleagues on PFS products and services as required
•Take ownership of specific customer complaints from initial contact to problem resolution

•Direct and refer customers to Premier, Investments and as appropriate
•Educate and encourage customers to utilize remote distribution channels

Major Challenges
•Handling customer's during peak working days
•Exceptions given to worthy customers
•Flexible hours may be required.
•The job involves meeting and serving customers outside the branches
•The job holder has sales targets.

Skills

•A university degree (any major) would be preferred
•Experience / Knowledge of all sections of retail Banking. Sales Experience preferred
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
•Good selling skills and have flair for dealing with figures
•To be able to work under pressure within short time frames
•Fluent English and Arabic an advantage
•Willing to go out and meet customers
•Must be flexible to move between branches
