Regional Marketing Communications Manager

To manage the design, development and implementation of marketing communications for the HSBC brand and customer propositions across the MENA region. To contribute to the development of marketing communications strategy and plans and to manage projects (campaigns, re-branding, retail design) end-to-end on behalf of the Regional Marketing Team.

Key Challenges
The job holder holds an important position in the team. They are a key the day-to-day touch-point between the Regional Marketing Team and the local teams. They have to navigate and persuade and occasionally enforce compliant with brand standards and with quality benchmarks. This will involve careful husbanding of personal relationships married to a strong will and clarity of communication.

The role demands independence, creativity and flair together with a willingness to try new things and champion new ways of thinking and of working both regional and on behalf of the Group.

The job holder must be prepared to take but also to provide relevant input in setting direction. The job will also demand discipline in financial, statistical and analytical measurement and achievement of multiple and competing but perpetually exacting deadlines.

The job holder will oversee development of Marketing campaigns, design concepts, copy and artwork for individual campaigns and ongoing initiatives. They will also approve invoices within the defined campaign budget and in accordance with agreed sign-off authorities.

Skills

• The job holder will have a minimum of 5 years experience working preferably in a financial services marketing / communications environment.
• They will be a capable manager, able to solve problems individually or in groups and committed to their personal development.
• They will be familiar with the marketing process and will have worked within a marketing environment
• The job holder will be well organised with strong attention to detail and an ability to plan and prioritise. They will possess positive active listening skills and demonstrate an ease in building close working relationships with those outside the department.
• They will be highly creative and challenging to the status quo. They will be enthusiastic, willing to champion the unpopular and persuade and motivate individuals in other business areas to support marketing plans.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Experience of third party negotiations both for the development of strategic relationships and the maintenance of marketing suppliers.
• High level of personal integrity and values in line with business core values.
