MANAGER SALES - Government, Global Banking (UAE Nationals only)
This position is available in Dubai and Abu Dhabi
Purpose of the job
A member of a highly motivated sales team within Payments and Cash Management (PCM) based in the Middle East, focused on the Government sector positioning and delivering customized domestic and cross-border PCM solutions to new and existing clients. Provide guidance and support on penetrating this sector to the Regional PCM teams in all HBME countries. Enhance PCM’s visibility both internally among Global Relationship Managers, Unit Heads, and RMs and externally with the Government client sector.
Main Responsibilities
• Develop a strategy and market PCM Solutions & Services, including Payables, Receivables, Liquidity and Channel (HSBCnet, Internet Trade Services, AutoPay, Pooling & Cash Concentration, Cheque Outsourcing System, Express Banking, for Government and Public Sector customers and support regional propositions/RFPs.
• Structure, customised domestic and cross-border cash management solutions for new/existing customers. Generate and support cross-border business leads (Cross Border) for countries in the Middle East and other regions.
• Respond to and satisfy customer needs in a timely and professional manner
• Continuously seek cross-selling opportunities with focus on additional PCM solutions and services and improve upon existing processes. Identify service gaps and suggest ways to enhance our local payments and cash management proposition within the Middle East.
Major Challenges
The job-holder will essentially act as a PCM consultant/specialist for developing PCM business within the UAE/Middle East and will need to closely liaise with Senior Officials, Treasurers, Financial Controllers, of the Government (target Customer Group). A knowledge of Payments and Cash Management, Treasury, Trade Finance as well as all other banking services targeted to this market sector. A strong relationship and sales management background would be appropriate.
HSBC is regarded as one of the top banks capable of providing domestic and cross-border PCM solutions and services in the UAE and the Middle East. We are yet to fully exploit our customer base and in particular the Government sector in the UAE and or Middle East. The candidate will co-ordinate and implement a strategy with Global Relationship Managers, from the UAE Global Banking team. The job holder needs to assess the dynamics of their market segment and sector and drive HSBC cash management services.
