Internal Emirati Development Programmes

Here are a couple of the internal development schemes we run, just to give you a flavor or what life can be like at HSBC.

Premier Emirati Relationship Management Programme

This high profile internal development programme is designed to identify our talented Emiratis and through a 5 stage process develop them to become high performing Premier Relationship Managers over the course of 12 months.

Welcome and On-boarding (1st week)

During your first week in your role, you will not only be welcomed but actively supported in adapting to the programme as a new entrant. You will gain the foundation knowledge required to get to grips with the basics.

Core (2nd week - 3rd month) - Branch Premier Team

This covers the core skills, knowledge and systems you will need to be familiar with, to perform your role effectively. You will also learn about the performance measures and success factors applicable to you and your team.

Growth (3 - 9 months) - Knowledge through different rotations

After your first 3 months, you will have a good understanding of the key requirements of your role. During these six months you will be enhancing and developing the skills you have acquired, and increasing your ability to deliver with confidence. A key part of this will be understanding what each department does and how they work together, which will be essential to you as a Premier Relationship Manager. You should also use this opportunity to build your own network of useful contacts across the bank.

Development (9 - 12 months) - Real customer interaction

By this stage you'll be an experienced member of your team, actively meeting your objectives if not exceeding them. This stage is about developing expertise and specific skills that will enable you to eventually become a role model for others.

Specialist (after 12 months) - In the role

You will now be a consistent high achiever who is a source of reference for others. It's at this stage you'll really start to reap the rewards of your hard work and effort, managing complex customer interactions with confidence and expertise, whilst continuing to grow your career to ever more challenging roles.

Executive Support Manager Programme

HSBC UAE have launched an Executive Support Programme that aims to take a small number of our talented Emiratis who currently work for the bank and partner them with our UAE Business Heads. These challenging 12 month roles are the perfect springboard to a senior management career, providing critical insight into what is required to lead and manage a range of complex functions. Our Executive Support Managers are on hand to assist and support Business Heads with a range of projects and initiatives and get some great exposure across the organisation and fantastic development along the way.
